National Search and Rescue Center rescues man in Sweihan desert

The National Search and Rescue Centre, today, carried out a rescue and medical evacuation mission of a 54-year-old South African, in the Sweihan desert of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The centre received a report stating that a person was severely exhausted while riding a motorcycle in an area of the Sweihan desert, which led to his inability to move due to the high temperature in the area.

The site was identified through the auxiliary emergency systems by the operations room team at the centre. With the capabilities and capabilities of the search and rescue plane, the team was able to control his health and rescue him. He was evacuated to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City to receive the necessary treatment while ensuring precautionary and preventive measures for COVID-19.
