UAE COVID-19 tests exceed 6 million

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention:

• The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted in the UAE since the outset of the pandemic has exceeded 6 million tests.

• Despite the remarkable retreat in the number of cases, we have witnessed during the past two weeks a noticeable increase in the number of daily cases, at a rate that may be alarming and indicates a greater increase in the coming period.

• We are witnessing a remarkable development in the third phase of clinical trials with promising results, and no side effects were recorded on volunteers.

• Participating and volunteering in clinical trials will be beneficial not only to the UAE community, but also to millions of people around the world.
