Mosques and places of worship will be reopened across the country

Dr. Saif Al-Dhaheri, the official spokesperson of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority: In coordination with federal and local competent authorities, we announce the gradual re-opening of mosques, and places of worship throughout the country.

The decision shall be implemented starting from Wednesday, July 1, where mosques will be opened for performing the five daily prayers at a capacity of 30% while implementing all precautionary measures.

Excluded from the decision a number of mosques and praying rooms which will remain closed until further notice, and this includes: mosques in external roads, industrial areas, labor cities, shopping malls, and parks.

Friday prayers in mosques will remain suspended until further notice, and mosques will not be opened at this time only.
