Abu Dhabi Police: Movement ban decision subject to extension

Major General Maktoum Al-Sharifi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police confirmed that the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Committee decision to extend the travel ban to and from Abu Dhabi and between its cities, Al Ain and Al Dhafra depends on the outcomes of the first week.

The movement ban decision may extend to be 10 days or two weeks, and shall be announced in accordingly.

Al- Sharifi stated that the decisions will remain in force and movement permits will be granted for those who work in vital sectors or patients visiting hospitals, as well as travelers to and from airports in other Emirates. In addition to humanitarian cases according to the necessity. Permits can be obtained via the website which offers many options, where a large number of permits have already been issued.
