Eid prayer shall be performed at home

Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, the official spokesman for the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority:

• We urge the public to refrain from family visits and gatherings during this sensitive period, and we advise to communicate Eid greetings using electronic means or phone calls instead.

• At this period we stress on refraining to hand Eidi to children and exchange withdrawn money between individuals. Electronic alternatives can be used for such purposes.

• According the Emirates Fatwa Council Eid prayer shall be performed at home as a Sharia obligation for health protection reasons.
