5 million unlabeled face masks in Dubai were seized

In line with the ongoing efforts to combat commercial fraud activities, government authorities in the Emirate of Dubai, represented in the “Department of Economic Development” and “Dubai Police” have managed to seize about 5 million unlabeled medical masks since the beginning of this month.

The joint efforts of the departments and the concerned authorities have managed to confront those who seek to make illegitimate profit and mislead the public in light of the measures to combat the spread of the new Corona epidemic (COVID-19). The departments have also seized thousands of thermometers and tens of thousands of counterfeited posters and boxes of commercial brands.

The inspection teams in the “Dubai Economic Department” and “Dubai Police” continue to work around-the-clock to combat any commercial fraud activities which aim to harm the national economy, stressing that they have zero tolerance in dealing with such offences.
