Gulf woman demands inheritance after 27 years from death

The Personal Status Court in Ras Al Khaimah has rejected an inheritance lawsuit filed by a “Gulf widow” against her “step son” on a property after 27 years of her spouse’s death. The defendant confirmed that he owned the property through a government grant, and the defendant’s defense stated: “The property is a grant and its sale or gift is prohibited except for the legal heirs.”
