A visitor on trial for possessing 117 heroin capsules for trading

The Public Prosecution referred yesterday a 19-year-old Asian visitor to Dubai Criminal Court on the charge of possessing 117 heroin capsules weighing 950 grams for trading.

Dubai Police received information about the accused use and possession of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with the intention of promoting them to the abusers. The police rushed to his residence in a hotel in Naif area after taking legal measures and raiding the room in where he stayed and arrested him.

The defendant admitted his crime and advised the police officers to a pouch containing a number of drug capsules, and he stated that he had drugs hidden in his guts, before transferring him to a hospital to get rid of it.
