Demands AED 20,000 for a transaction

Sharjah criminal court looked into the case of an employee who was accused of breaching his duties and demanding a bribe. The defendant asked the victim an amount of AED 20,000 for issuing a permit without taking the required approvals and without compliance with the conditions set by the Sharjah Municipality.

The judge decided to postpone the verdict for March 3 hearing.
