A young man on trial for sharing voice message

Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal postponed the trial of an Arab young man who was accused of posting a voice conversation between him and an Arab woman on social media where the Public Prosecution convicted him for this charge and for improving sin and breaching the public morals.

The defendant denied the two charges against him before the court, explaining that he recorded the conversations to keep it for himself. With regards to improving sin charge, he affirmed that the woman is the one who was communicating with him and that his conversation with her was in a regular manner that takes into account public morals. The defendant requested the court for acquittal and non-imprisonment but the court decided to postpone the case for further consideration.
