SEHA SUPPORTS MAJOR ABU DHABI SPORTING EVENT WITH MEDICAL CARE AT THE WORLD JU-JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the largest healthcare network in the United Arab Emirates, is providing medical services during the Ju-Jitsu World Championship 2019, taking place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City from November 16 to 24.

In line with SEHA’s commitment to serving the community, two fully staffed and equipped clinics will be available, offering the full range of services needed at a tournament of this nature. Emergency doctors, general practitioners, physiotherapists and nurses will all be on hand and in cases requiring additional care, patients will be transferred to a SEHA hospital in readily available and equipped SEHA ambulances.

During the first day of the championship, Dr. Marwan Al Kaabi, SEHA’s Group Director for Readiness and Business Continuity said: “Hosting the World Ju-Jitsu Championship with delegations from 50 countries across the globe in Abu Dhabi affirms the emirate and nation as a global leader in the organization of sporting events and championships, making it a large scale event.”

“SEHA is dedicated to providing integrated medical services to the participants of the World Ju-Jitsu Championship, including the athletes, staff and spectators,” added Dr. Al Kaabi.

SEHA is the official healthcare provider for the majority of tournaments and competitions hosted in Abu Dhabi, and recently provided similar support at the 11th Abu Dhabi International Ju-Jitsu Championship, held at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi between April 20 and 26 2019. This competition ranks first in the international Ju-Jitsu tournament rankings, with more than 5,000 athletes participating from 102 countries.
