Emirates to hold historic flight bringing together UAE’s multicultural communities

The year 2019, declared the ‘Year of Tolerance’, has once again put the UAE in the driving seat both regionally and globally, in terms of cultural understanding amidst diversity.

On the International Day of Tolerance, Emirates will operate a historic one-off A380 flight on November 29 to bring together and celebrate the vibrant multicultural communities of the UAE onto one flight.

Citizens and residents of the UAE, including the Filipinos, are encouraged to join this special flight around the UAE. Emirates welcomes as many nationalities as possible onto flight EK2019 for a unique journey.

The A380 commissioned for this flight will be decorated with a colorful and bespoke ‘Year of Tolerance’ livery, showcasing a panorama of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures holding hands, celebrating the UAE’s message of multiculturalism. The illustrations will adorn both sides of the aircraft.

Much like the UAE, which is home to 200 nationalities, Emirates employs over 160 nationalities and draws strength from the diversity and shared values that brings its employees together.

On average, Emirates carries more than 50 nationalities any given flight across its network and through its home and hub of Dubai.

To register for this special flight on November 29, participants can register their name, nationality and contact details for consideration by visiting: https://www.emirates.com/ae/english/campaigns/6798959/national-day
