An Asian brings 5 women under the sponsor of a citizen without his knowledge

Dubai Public Prosecution refferd An Asian man to criminal court who took advantage of his partnership with an Emirati businessman in a company and employed women to work for the company without his knowledge. The defendant issued work permits for five women after forging the sponsor’s signature and submitted the applications to the ministry despite his knowledge of its inauthenticity. The women realized that they were deceived by the manager when they had not received any salaries since they joined the company.

The victim, a 43-year-old businessman, said he was a 51 percent partner in a Burj Khalifa-based company while the defendant owns 49 percent of the company which was founded in 2016, pointing out that three years ago, the defendant requested him to issue work permit for a number of female employees on the company’s sponsorship. He stated that the defendant does not have the authorization for signing on the work permit applications and he is only authorized to perform adminstrative duties.

He added that in late 2017 an Arab woman told him that the defendant had issued a work permit for her on the sponsorship of the company but she did not receive her salary since then.

The owner of the company checked with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for the contracts and the number of employees sponsored by his company and he found out that his signature was forged in six work permits by a person working in the company.

A European woman stated in the prosecution’s investigations that she had known the defendant through “LinkedIn” when she was seeking for a job, then a company employee called her and claimed that the defendant owned it, then interviewed her and she successfully passed. The employment contract was later signed by the defendant Tasheel office.

She added that she then they had opened a bank account for her but she did not receive her salary for several months, so she filed a complaint to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and then went to the local sponsor and told him about the incident when she discovered that the work permit was forged.
