Yesterday, the court looked into the case of a 37-year-old Asian man who issued work permits for six employees after forging the signature of the company owner abusing his authority in the workplace.
The owner of the company stated that he had received a number of complaints from employees that they did not receive their salaries for several months. An employee told him that the defendant had issued a work permit for her on the sponsorship of the company but she did not receive her salary since then.
The owner of the company checked with the concerned authorities for the contracts and the number of employees sponsored by his company and he found out that his signature was forged in six work permits by a person working in the company.
The defendant admitted to committing the crime of forging official documents and the court ordered him to be remand in custody.
