Sentence reduced for a woman in an attempted murder case

Dubai Court of Appeal reduced the prison sentence for a 30-years-old Asian woman to one year instead of three years after being charged with attempt to murder another woman by stabbing her in the abdomen during a wrangle over a boyfriend.

The victim blocked the stab with her left arm and held the knife with her hand when the defendant tried to stab her again.

As a result, she had several injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
