An Asian man on trial for sexually harassing a co-worker and threaten to kill

The Dubai Criminal Court yesterday sentenced a 25-year-old Asian man to six months in prison followed by deportation after he was charged with sexually harassing a 28-year-old Asian co-worker and threatening to kill her if she wouldn’t kiss him.

According to the investigations, the victim stated that she knew the defendant at work, the defendant obtained her phone number from a co-worker and several months before the incident he called her and asked her to teach one of his relatives computer science, but his relative did not attend. The defendant did not call back until the day of the incident.

As she was preparing to attend a friend’s birthday party, he called her and told her that he had no dates that night, so she asked him to drop her to the birthday party and he agreed immediately.

On the way, he stopped the car in a dark area and harassed it, and asked her to kiss him, and when she opposed, he threatened to kill her with a knife and then get rid of her. She obeyed him until she managed to get off the car and ran away.
