NCM: Temperatures set to decrease, heavy rain hits parts of UAE, and cloudy weather expected

Heavy rain has hit Sharjah’s Khor Fakkan and the emirate of Fujairah in UAE.

According to a tweet by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in UAE, the area around the Khor Fakkan airport has also received heavy rainfall.

NCM has forecast cloudy, rainy weather in UAE today. Fresh winds are predicted to cause the blowing of sand with horizontal visibility being reduced to less than 2000 meters at times during the day.

Flash showers had also soaked Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah early on Saturday. The same was reported in Dibba Al Fujairah, Dibba Al Hisn, Kalba and Khor Fakkan.

Local police have urged all drivers to avoid the valleys and mountainous areas most affected by rains, and be extra careful on wet and flooded roads.
