Plane passenger baffled by very ‘random act’ with deck of cards during flight

A man has come under fire on social media for his rather bizarre behaviour on a plane travelling from Nice to Heathrow this week.

Fellow passenger Jayne Sharp shared a video of the unnamed man’s “random act” during the journey, which she says “wound her up”.

In the clip, uploaded to Twitter on her account @jaynesharp, the man can be seen using the personal air con on the plane to dry out a damp deck of playing cards.

And according to Sharp, who works as a voice artist, he spent the entire hour and 45 minute flight drying each card individually.

Captioning the video, she wrote: “What’s the most random act that’s wound you up on a plane?

“Mine’s this bloke next to us who spent the entire journey from Nice to Heathrow individually drying out every single playing card in the bloody pack.

“The Queen of Clubs proved to be particularly damp.”

Her tweet has already started to gain attention, with over 400 likes and dozens of comments so far, with many making playing card puns.

Others began sharing their own strange plane stories, with one writing: “Transatlantic flight, we’re still on the ground at Heathrow. Guy in seat in front fully reclines his seat into my lap, lounges back with arms reaching above and behind his head and claps them over the video screen I’m supposed to be watching the safety briefing on.”

But a fellow Twitter user knew someone who had it much worse, revealing: “My friend flew to see me from America. Picked her up from Heathrow. She is traumatised. The woman next ot her on her flight inserted a Canestan pessary using her blanket for cover. True story.”
