A Kuwaiti criminal court sentenced a local man to life in prison after he was convicted of molesting his minor daughters.
An angry judge shouted at the defendant before issuing the sentence: “You have committed an act which even mad people do not commit.”
When the defendant asked to be acquitted on the grounds that he is suffering from a mental illness as stated in a medical report, the judge replied:”You may be ill but there are things which man knows by instinct which doesn’t even require a second thought to avert them.”
The judge furthered: “What you have done is a very serious and bad crime, which violates man’s instincts and requires the stiffest punishment no matter what your excuses and reasons are.”
The Kuwaiti daily Alanba said the unnamed defendant had molested his daughter for years, but it did not mention how many daughters he has or their ages.
