A young man drowned in Fujairah

A 17-year-old young Emirati drowned at Fujairah Corniche in Al Madhalat on Sunday night, according to local reports.

The young man had gone to the beach with his brothers.

Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police, said the incident occurred at 7 pm on Sunday as the 17-year-old was swimming with his brothers.

He added that rescue teams had rushed to the site of the incident and provided him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation – but he passed away.
