Dubai: Asian worker jailed, deported for causing a colleague’s death

Dubai Court of Appeals supported the 2-year imprisonment and deportation sentence of an Asian worker after he was convicted of causing the death of his colleague with a heart attack during a quarrel between them. The accused and the victim were living together in a workers’ residence of their company.

According to investigations by the Public Prosecution, the accused pushed the victim during a verbal conflict, which made him fall unconsciousness on the ground, with difficulty in breathing and a heart attack, he died several hours after the incident, despite attempts by the ambulance team to rescue him.
