UAE, Colombia agree to ease travel between the two countries without pre-entry visa

UAE and Colombia signed a memorandum of understanding on easing travel for the two countries’ citizens without a pre-entry visa requirement.

President of Colombia, Ivan Duque Marquez, had received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the country.

The meeting addressed prospects for fostering bilateral relations across all fronts, primarily in the fields of politics, economy, trade, renewable energy, and food security.

The Colombian president and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah exchanged views over a number of regional and international issues of common interest, with the UAE top diplomat conveying wishes for further progress and prosperity to Colombia from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The Colombian leader relayed his greetings to UAE leaders and underlined the importance of the visit in advancing cooperation to the higher good of both countries.

Sheikh Abdullah underscored the UAE’s keenness to consolidating bonds between the two countries to the common good of their peoples.

Attending the meeting were Salem Rashid Al Oueiss, the UAE Ambassador to Colombia, and a number of Colombian ministers.
