Dubai: Asian man gets 6 months sentence, deportation for causing another man’s suicide

Dubai Court of First Instance had previously received the case of the man being arrested for threatening a coworker with posting intimate photos of him with another coworker who left the country, which eventually led the man to commit suicide. The accused had requested an iPhone from the victim in return for not posting the picture on social media.

Case details revealed that the Asian man hanged himself from a bathroom ceiling in 2017. His suicide note demanded that the man gets arrested for blackmail.

Dubai criminal court sentenced the Asian man to six months in prison and deportation from the country on charges of leading the deceased man to commit suicide as a result of blackmailing him with an intimate video of him and another coworker.
