MOHRE announces official holiday on the occasion of Pope’s visit to the UAE

In line with the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that Tuesday (February 5th),  will be an official holiday for private sector employees who are licensed to participate in the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi for the Pope’s visit.

The Pope’s visit is an expression of the UAE’s soft power, an affirmation of the role of its leadership and people in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence
