Fujairah: Young GCC national cleared of kidnap, rape charges

The Fujairah Criminal Court cleared a young GCC man of the kidnapping and rape of an Arab girl.

The details of the case reveal that the victim filed a complaint alleging that the accused had kidnapped her, forced her to get in his car, and forcefully raped her. The police arrested the defendant, turned him into the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and after questioning him he was transferred to court.

The defendant’s lawyer pleaded before the court that no evidence of the victim’s claim had been received in the investigations, since she did not provide witnesses in the case, the forensic report did not support the fact of rape either, she also added that the accused does not previously know the victim.
