Sharjah to host Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup tomorrow

The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority, will host Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup tomorrow, the second race organised in Sharjah, which is sponsored by Longines, the official sponsor of the 2018/2019 racing season.

The competition will witness a strong participation of purebred Arabian horses, local horses and thoroughbred horses, where the race consists of six runs of various distances and levels as follows: 1 – First Race ) Longines Dolce Vita ) : Dedicated for Pure Arabian horses For MAIDEN 3YO+ FILLIES & MARES bred in the UAE Weight: 3YO 56kg. 4YO+ 60kg a distance of 1200 m , and prizes of up to 40 thousand dirhams, with the participation of 16 horses with 2 horses on the reserve .

2 – Second Race )The Longines Mater Collection Race ) : Dedicated for Pure Arabian horses For MAIDEN 3YO+ COLTS & GELDINGS bred in the UAE Weight: 3YO 56kg. 4YO+ 60kg a distance of 1200 m and prizes of up to 40 thousand dirhams, number of horses participating in this half is 16 horses with 3 horses on the reserve.

3 – Third Race (Longines Record Collection Race) : Dedicated for Pure Arabian horses For MAIDEN 4YO ONLY Weight: 58kg a distance of 1200 m and prizes 40 thousand dirhams and the number of horses participating in this race is 9 horses.

4 – Fourth Race (Longines Record Collection Race ) : Dedicated for Pure Arabian horses For 4YO+ bred in the UAE For horses rated 0-40 a distance of 1000 m and prizes 40 thousand dirhams and the number of horses participating in this race is 15 horses.

5 – Fifth Race (HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup Sponsored by Longines Conquest V.H.P ) : Dedicate for for thoroughbred horses For NH & SH 3YO+ For horses rated 70-90 for a distance , a distance of 1700 m , and prizes 40 thousand and the number of horses participating in this race is 16 horses .

6 – Sixth Race (The Longines Master Collection Race) : dedicated for Pure Arabian horses For For 4YO+ For horses rated 0-45 for a distance of 2000 m, and prizes up to 40 thousand dirhams and the number of horses participating in this race is 16 horses .
