Ajman: 4-year-old boy tragically dies after getting trapped in washing machine

A 4-year-old Emirati boy lost his life after drowning in an electric washing machine in Al Rawda area of Ajman. HE Colonel Yahya Khalaf Al Matroushi, Head of Al Hamidiya police station, stated that a reported was received in the operating room of a child who was found inside a washing machine at his home in Al Rawda area in Ajman.

Specialized teams immediately arrived to the scene, and the details revealed that the child was at home with his uncle and grandmother when he went to the laundry room and got inside the washing machine. The washing machine door suddenly closed and the machine rotated automatically after being filled with hot water. The boy tragically drowned inside, his mother found him when she returned home, and his uncle broke the washing machine’s door to get him out.

HE Colonel Yahya Al Matroushi urged all parents to be cautious and monitor their children carefully, not leaving them near hazardous places or items to avoid serious consequences, injuries and loss of life.
