Drug dealer gets life sentence, Dh50,000 fine in UAE

The UAE’s Federal Supreme Court has sentenced a drug dealer to life in prison, and a fine of AED 50,000, after it had upheld earlier rulings by lower courts which found the man guilty of dealing, possessing and consuming narcotics.

The man was arrested after the anti-narcotic authorities in a northern emirate alerted about him. His urine samples tested positive, and Prosecutors had required the stiffest punishment for him.
