With the intention of attracting talent and investors in vital economic sectors to the UAE, UAE Cabinet has announced the adoption of a long-term visa decision to emphasize the UAE’s position as a global talent incubator and destination for investors. The decision includes specific terms and conditions for granting long-term visas to certain categories.

Investors who have public investments in the forms of a deposit, establishment of a company, or partnerships with an investment value of not less than 10 million Dhs can now obtain a 10-year residency visa to be renewed every 10 years. Property investors with an investment value of  not less than 5 million Dhs can obtain a residency visa for five years, after compliance with certain terms and conditions.

Entrepreneurs will be granted a 5-year visa with eligibility for permanent residency in case certain conditions were met, provided they have a previous successful project with a value of at least 500,000 Dhs or the approval of a certified business incubator.
