Dubai: Asian man fakes illness to steal AED10,000 from a doctor

A 31-year-old Asian worker, with the help of two others, used a deceptive way to steal 10,000 Dhs from a doctor. The man claimed that he was ill and went to the victim’s clinic.

The defendant was brought to the doctor’s room, complaining of abdominal pain, the doctor asked the defendant to enter the room for medical examination. Upon entering with the doctor, the defendant grabbed the doctor’s legs, and two other Asians searched him and stole 10,000 Dhs. The doctor resisted them and screamed, two of the defendants fled the scene, leaving the main suspect (the fake patient),  to be caught by the victim who immediately informed the police.
