Abu Dhabi: 60-year-old man accused of molesting a young girl

Abu Dhabi Criminal Court charged a 60-year-old Arab man yesterday with sexually harassing a child by grabbing her when she was in a hotel playground.

The defendant denied the charge explaining that he came to Abu Dhabi for a visit, and while waiting with a group of friends in the evening near the playground, the girl was playing next to them and he did not come in contact with her in any way, pointing out that surveillance cameras can prove what happened. The man, who argued stating that he has a heart disease, also mentioned that the girl is the age of his daughters and that it is unreasonable for him to commit such a shameful act.
