Dubai: Employed Arab man accused of stealing donations from “Red Crescent” boxes

Dubai Criminal Court has received the case of a 53-year-old employed Arab man on charges of stealing AED 26,000 from Red Crescent donation boxes.

According to a legal adviser working in the Authority, the accused is the head of the donation collection committee and that he stole the proceeds of the collection of donation boxes rounding to about AED 26,000. According to the investigation, the defendant was receiving money but wasn’t taking records of the amounts in full.

The accused admitted to what he did, stating that he needed the money for financial difficulties he was going through.
