Abu Dhabi: Man injured in a two vehicle collision

A man sustained minor injuries following a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of the Sheikh Zayed Road with the Municipality Road in Abu Dhabi. An ambulance was immediately dispatched to the site and the injured man was taken to Khalifa Hospital. The man was given the needed medical attention and discharged from the hospital the same day.

Lt. Col. Salah Abdullah Al Humairi, Deputy Director at Abu Dhabi Traffic Department, urged drivers to abide by safe driving and traffic laws, in order to avoid traffic accidents and protect the safety of road users.

The command and control room received a report at 1:40 AM on Monday of a collision between two vehicles. Immediately, police patrols and ambulances were sent to the scene.

According to Abu Dhabi Police, the reason of the collision was that one of the drivers ignored the red traffic light in the intersection.
