Dubai: Four arrested for running a Brothel and trafficking a 16-year-old

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred three men and a woman accused of human trafficking to the Criminal Court for trafficking a 16-year-old girl by manipulating her passport information while in her country. One of the defendants convinced her to apply for a passport and falsified her age so that she can travel alone, and forced her into prostitution.

The victim reported in the Public Prosecution’s investigation that she met with a woman and told her she would love to work anywhere, but she didn’t have money to issue a passport or buy a ticket, so the woman took her number and called her a few days later, informing her that someone has a job offer for her in Dubai.

The girl stated that she came to the country last May and was received by the third defendant at the airport and was taken with another person to his apartment. The second defendant met with her. She was held for three days in the apartment until the woman asked her to accompany her to work without telling her about the nature of work.

At the Brothel, she found two other girls. The first defendant told her that her job would be prostitution. She refused, but the defendant threatened her stating that they had paid all the expenses of getting her to the country.

The girl was then forced to practice prostitution and remained in the brothel for Eight days, where she had sex with different people, until the police raided the place, arrested the accused, and transferred the victim to Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC)
