Abu Dhabi: Three killed, 44 injured in a collision between a bus and two vehicles

Three died and 44 others got injured in a traffic accident between a bus and two vehicles this morning and initial reports revealed that the accident occurred due to sudden swerving, over speeding, not leaving safe distance between vehicles and using the mobile phone while driving.

The Central Operations Department received a report today at 7:30 AM. Police, ambulances and the Abu Dhabi Police immediately moved to the site, providing medical care to the patients and transferring them to Al Rahba and Mafraq hospitals.

Brigadier Salim Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Director of Traffic Department of Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists and road users to abide by the traffic laws and speed limits, and to leave sufficient safety distance between the vehicles. In addition to taking extreme caution while changing lanes and avoid sudden deviation.
