Emirati families launch initiative to ban children’s online games

Emirati families launched an initiative through social media, urging all UAE families to ban children’s online games, especially “PlayStation”, because of the negative impact it has on their behavior, focus levels and study.

A widely circulated video that was published yesterday shows a citizen “Abu Mohammed”, calling on families to block electronic games from their children.

Abu Mohammed spoke in one of the videos, explaining that he had agreed with a number of families to ban the use of these games for several reasons, adding that the games have harmed their minds, and occupied them from having quality time with their families and  studying.

He said that the harmful effects of games also includes nervousness and poor eyesight, in addition to the lack of concentration and lack of desire to study leading to low school grades.
