Hot, humid weather in the UAE; mercury expected to hit 47°C

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced that weather across the UAE today is expected to be hot in general and hazy at times, with a fall in temperature, adding that there will be light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times by afternoon, which may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.

The temperature could range between 40 to 44°C over the coastal areas and between 42 to 47°C  in the internal areas.

The relative humidity will increase over the eastern coasts during the night and early morning.

Winds will veer southeasterly to northeasterly, 14 – 24kph, reaching 36kph at times in the internal areas during day time.
