Sharjah: Eight-year-old child dies after drowning in a swimming pool

A child (8 years old of Asian nationality) drowned in a swimming pool of one of the residential towers where his family lives in Al-Majaz district of Sharjah yesterday evening. He was rescued and taken to hospital, but he later died.

According to the Police Operations Room, a report was received of a child who had drowned in a swimming pool in one of his family’s residential towers. His family was unaware and went to the swimming pool where the guard was not present. Although a group of people tried to rescue him, he died while being taken to hospital after swallowing large quantities of water.
