MoHAP reassures public regarding “Nipah” virus

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India, having reviewed the cases of all the patients who have lost their lives due to the virus, believes that the Nipah virus is not a disease outbreak, but instead, a localized occurrence and there is no increase in the number of cases or deaths caused by the disease.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE  reassures the public that the Nipah virus is limited in Kerala and the opportunity to spread outside India is almost non-existent.

However, the Ministry stressed the importance of educating those coming to the country about the importance of checking with the health authorities in the event of feeling any symptoms that match the symptoms and signs of the disease.

The authorities of the ports in the country have been advised to isolate and quarantine any suspected case with the symptoms of this disease and contact the health authorities
