Sharjah: Arab man gives his fiancée 171,000 dirhams, after stealing it from a house

The Sharjah Criminal Court charged a 27-year-old Arab man with robbery, who was arrested by the police after breaking in a house and taking 171,000 dirhams that belongs to the owner of the house.
The details of the incident date back to February 4, when the accused entered the house of the complainant, against his will, and stole the money. He denied the charge against him, retracting his confessions that appear in the Police and Public Prosecution Investigation Record.

The accused claimed that it’s only an attempt of revange by the victim, pointing out that he borrowed an amount of money from him, and returned it to him by giving him a car that belonged to him, worth more than 200 thousand dirhams, which is an increase in the amount borrowed.

The first defendant kept the stolen amount with his fiancée, who gave her testimony, saying: he handed her the money to keep it with her until he comes and takes it from her, and was surprised by what happened and confirmed that she did not know the source of money, nor that it was stolen, the case was adjourned to hear the statements of the second defendant.
