UAE expected to be impacted by tropical storm this weekend

The Dubai Municipality’s weather forecast system has predicted that the impact of the tropical cyclone Mekunu, which is heading towards Oman, will be felt in the UAE as well, particularly Dubai.

‘Mekunu’ become first degree tropical storm with 65 to 75 knots and the storm’s center is 570km from Salalah. The storm is expected to change its category from one to two in the next 36 hours.

‘Mekunu’ won’t reach the UAE, according to NCM, and Omani civil Aviation urges to stay safe and careful and not to attend the sea.
