Innovation Mondial focuses on culture of innovation

Dubai Customs plays a noticeable role in enhancing a culture of innovation within the government setting, for which it has launched a number of initiatives including “Innovation Mondial” that took place with the participation of 200 people in 20 teams who competed to come up with a creative, impactful initiative in line with the Dubai 10X 2.0 project.

The Mondial is aimed at enhancing the culture of innovation and helping participants come up with disruptive ideas to face the future challenges in support of Dubai’s vision of helping the emirate move ten years ahead of other cities.

Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence, said, “We, at Dubai Customs, work hard to achieve the best results inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who taught us that innovation is a necessity and not a luxury, and the UAE views it as a future necessity and not just a media hype. This is why Dubai Customs arranges this Mondial, which also comes in line with the launch of the new version of the 10X initiative, 10X-2.0, by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.”

Amer Abdul Raoof, Director of Dubai 10X, said, “Terms like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and 4th industrial revolution are becoming daily terms and regularly used by the government thanks to the vision of the wise leadership. What we are trying to do is disrupt the way our government works because we want to deliver government services for everyone in Dubai service that is 10 times better, 10 times faster and 10 times more efficient.”

Yousef Al Hashimi, Director of Jebel Ali Customs Centres Management, pointed out that innovations will put us in the midst of an advanced technological revolution, which will help make the lives of the next generations better based on the strategies of the UAE Centennial 2071 project.
