Sand storm across the UAE; rainfall likely today

UAE residents have been warned to be extra careful as winds kicked up dust and poor visibility to affect some parts of the country on Thursday from 5:00am till 6:30pm.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather alert to warn of poor horizontal visibility of less than 2,000 metres at times due to dust in suspension over scattered areas.

Sea will be rough over the Arabian Gulf offshore areas, especially the western areas. Beachgoers and residents are advised to be cautious while swimming in the various beaches in the region.The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.
