Dubai: American gang on trial after coming to the country for the purpose of theft

Dubai Criminal Court launched a seven-person criminal trial on Thursday , including five Southern Americans, who came to the country to steal from villas and homes.

The case papers revealed that the incident took place in Ramadan 2015, and that the five unemployed defendants entered the country for the purpose of theft. The third defendant came to know the first accused, an Arab national, a year ago via “Whats App”, and when the gang entered the country, they officially met.

The third defendant told the first that they are a gang specialized in home theft. The first defendant therefore helped them locate the luxurious villas to be stolen. They also rented an apartment to hide, and a car for transportation.

The victim revealed that during the Ramadan of 2015, he slept in his room after breakfast, until Taraweeh prayer. When he woke up, he did not notice any theft in the villa where he lived with his family, but in the early hours of the next morning, his mother told him that her room and rooms his siblings were robbed.
