Abu Dhabi: Travel agency employee transfers clients to his wife’s company

An employee in a travel and tourism company took advantage of his position to transfer the company’s clients to his wife’s company, who works in the same field, causing the company financial losses of up to AED 100,000.
Through the process of investigating the financial records of the transactions conducted by the employee, the company shows that through his job, he has issued a number of hotel reservations, issued tickets to the company’s customers, and transferred cash to his account instead of the company’s account.
In the presence of the lawyer, Ali Al Khaja, who is the owner of the victim company, a series of documents were presented, including letters from the employee, stating that he transferred the company’s clients to another competing company, which he found to be a company owned by his wife.
The court ordered the employee to pay the company an amount of AED 100,000.
