Croatian footballer tragically dies on pitch after being hit in chest with ball

A Croatian football player tragically died at the age of 25 after collapsing during a match.

Bruno Boban, who played for Marsonia in his homeland and was the leading marksman in the third tier.

Medics on the scene spent 40 minutes trying to revive him after Boban was hit in the chest with the ball from close range.

The match continued and he appeared fine, before dropping to the ground and appearing to completely lose consciousness and collapse onto the floor.
