After investigations, Fujairah Police obtained sufficient information about the incident of a 13-year-old Emirati boy who sustained moderate injuries after he was attacked by a stray dog at the Faisal area of Fujairah and was able to identify and detain the owner of the dogs.
The police found that the child “Ammar” was walking a wild dog, accompanied by his older brother and his friend, who were also walking another dog on the beach, the dogs attacked the child Ammar, so his brother and friend intervened to rescue him.
During interrogations with the parties, one of them admitted that the dogs belonged to him and after being asked where they were. He said that he hid them with a person in the village area, the dogs were then moved to the Badia area where the police kept them in the police dogs section of Fujairah Police.
Fujairah Police, after disclosing the details of the incident, confirmed that there was no truth to what the child had earlier told a media outlet about being attacked by stray dogs. Fujairah police also calls on the public to avoid such behaviors that endanger the lives of others.
