Abdullah bin Zayed, Indian External Affairs Minister discuss strategic bilateral relations over phone

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of the friendly Republic of India.

During the call, they discussed the strategic and longstanding relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation in a manner that serves their mutual interests and benefits their peoples.

During the call, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to Dr. S. Jaishankar over the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s firm position and constant rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilising societies, stressing that such acts contradict international law and pose a threat to global peace and security.

The UAE top diplomat expressed his confidence in India’s commitment to reinforcing security and stability in the South Asia and to avoiding factors of tension. He stressed that diplomacy and dialogue are the best means for reaching peaceful solutions to all crises in a way that contributes to fulfilling the aspirations of peoples for peace, stability, and prosperity.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah also affirmed that the UAE will continue its efforts to support all initiatives aimed at achieving peaceful resolutions to regional and international conflicts and at mitigating their humanitarian impacts.
