Hezbollah announces death of its Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah

Hezbollah announced today that its Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

This came in a statement issued by the party and broadcast by the Lebanese National News Agency.

Yesterday, Israeli warplanes carried out a heavy bombardment on the southern suburbs, killing and wounding several people.
