TRA warns against “WhatsApp Gold” scam

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority warned the public against downloading and using an application called “WhatsApp Gold” and other third party applications that claim to have unique specifications while it is threatening the privacy of users.

WhatsApp gold claims you can get the exclusive version of WhatsApp that is designated only for celebrities. However, downloading the application or clicking the links is very dangerous as it threatens users privacy and allows hackers to steal your data and track users’ movements and online activities.
